What this site keeps
In effect from 9 October 2026.
This covers hollowsky.heavenbound.fun and the Hollow Sky launcher. It is short because we keep very little.
What we store
- Your account: an account id we make up, the name shown on it, when it was made, and whether it is a tester account.
- Your Discord, if you sign in with it: your Discord user id and your Discord name. We ask Discord for the "identify" permission only. We never see your email, your servers or your messages, and we do not keep Discord's access token.
- Your sessions: when you sign in, on the site or in the launcher, we keep a record of that session so you stay signed in. We store only a one-way hash of the session key, never the key itself. Site sessions last 30 days, launcher sessions 30 days, unless you sign out.
- Email sign-in, when it arrives: your email address and a scrypt hash of your password (never the password). It is not switched on yet.
The site sets two cookies: one that keeps you signed in, and one that protects its forms from being submitted by other websites. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything but running your account and the game.
Where it lives
On our own rented server. Our web server keeps ordinary access logs (address, time, page) for a short time to keep the site running and to stop abuse.
Your choices
Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account to be deleted, by asking the staff in the Heavenbound Discord server. Deletion cannot be undone.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it.
